Ahoy-hoy. My name is Lauren, and I am a girl in Los Angeles. I have a cat named Scamp, and I am married to the cutest boy. My dream in life is to be a writer of things that other people enjoy.
My husband is hilarious, amazing at video games, and loves musicals. I somehow tricked him into marrying me, but I don’t think he knows, so shhh.
I was born on an Air Force Base, lived a tiny bit in Denver, and grew up in Pittsburgh. I’ve also lived in Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. I like traveling to places and seeing if I can not die in them, and I’m pretty good at it so far.
I went to college at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, from 1998-2002, where I double majored in English and Theater. That means I can say “Do you want fries with that?” with perfect grammar and very dramatically.
I have had tons of jobs, including but not limited to: waitress, chef, closed captioner, stage manager, stand-up comedian, teacher in Japan, personal assistant to the sister of a celebrity, and executive assistant to the CEO of an awesome website. I am trying to Follow My Dreams.
This website was born on January 3rd, 2002. It’s named after a funny level in a video game I liked. I used to hand-code my layouts in Notepad, but this version is done in WordPress, which makes me a lot happier.
I’m hosted by BlueHost, and they’re a lot better than the other hosts I’ve had. This site wouldn’t be where it is today without the help of Internet Rockstars Apok, Kris Straub, Valrik, Porkfry, and Greg, who has helped me more than I will ever know in the big Blog Software Conversion of ’09. The photoshop brushes used to design the header are from Roxo89 on deviantART, and they are amazing. My life wouldn’t be where it is today without the help of a bunch of other people who don’t have URLs, but three cheers for my mom, dad, Ryan, Jordan, Melissa, and of course, Tyler.
Um, is that it? Thanks for looking at words on my website! You’re my favorite.
