About
Hey, guys! My name is Lauren, and I am a girl in Los Angeles. I have a cat named Scamp and an awesome roommate. My dream in life is to be a writer of things that other people enjoy.
I was born on an Air Force Base, lived a tiny bit in Denver, and basically grew up in Pittsburgh. I’ve also lived in Germany, Switzerland, and Japan for extended periods of time. I like traveling to places and seeing if I can not die. I’m pretty good at it so far.
I went to college at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, from 1998-2002, and I double majored in English and Theater. That means I can say “Do you want fries with that?” with perfect grammar and very dramatically.
I have had tons of jobs, including but not limited to: waitress, chef, closed captioner, stand-up comedian, Teacher in Japan, and personal assistant to a really cool Hollywood lady. Currently, I am trying to Follow My Dreams.
I started this website on January 3rd, 2002. It’s named after a funny level in a video game I liked. I taught myself html to hand-code my layouts, but this version is done in Word Press, which makes me a lot happier.
BlueHost is where I’m hosted, and they have been pretty helpful. This site wouldn’t be where it is today, without the help of Internet Rockstars Justin, Apok, Kris Straub, Valrik, Porkfry, and Greg, who has helped me more than I will ever know in the big Blog Software Conversion of ’09. My life wouldn’t be where it is today without the help of a bunch of other people who don’t have URLs, but three cheers for my mom, dad, Ryan, Jordan, and Melissa.
Um, is that it? Thanks for looking at words on my website! You’re my favorite.
